Rhiannon and Her Birds

Rhiannon is a mare goddess from Welsh myth. Her name stems from a word for great Queen. She is associated with singing birds (perhaps sirens).

Bridget Heriz has lived in Suffolk most of her life, apart form nine years in London during which she trained at Goldsmiths College, university of |London and Ravensbourne College of Art and Design. She assissted in the running of Clock House Art centre in Bruisyard for several years and now lives and works in Badingham. She is employed as a part-time tutor at Otley College and by the Workers Education Association.

Bridget has worked widely in East Anglia and has shown regularly in the region with various groups - Suffolk Group, Open Studios, Bearing 090 Degrees, Young Blood and Clock House Arts Association. Exhibitions in London include the London Group, the SGA, the Discerning Eye, the RA Summer Show and, for the last two years, the Summer Show at the Mercury Gallery in Cork Street.
