For World Pinhole Day on 24th April
2005 I made a number of pinhole photographs outside in the garden. Most of these I fouled up completely due to a lack of practice and I badly over exposed most of them. I decided to try an indoor one and made this one overnight in the studio with a piece of mirror propped against the easel. I set the camera up in front of the mirror at teatime and left it overnight. It got the evening light, the street light and the dawn light before I picked it up at breakfast time the next day. This is the current wooden camera which I still take out occasionally. Ultra wide angle, based on the cardboard prototype. This image can also be seen on the World Pinhole Day website which is also a good resource for stuff about pinhole cameras and how to make them. ![]() |
