Mail Art is the exchange of art through the snail mail postal system. Some say it all started with the agitprop art group Fluxus in the sixties, all say the Ray Johnson and the New York Correspondence School were prime movers. A democratic process of art exchange across international borders, mail art blurs the boundaries between artist and audience. The only way to see the art is to make the art and engage in the exchange!
